Allo Allo French Tearooms

Allo Allo, is a delightful french tearoom with a difference at 340 Flaxton Drive on the Maleny-Mapleton scenic drive on the glorious Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Much more than a tea room,the light meals and scrumptious cakes are rivaled by the fresh coffee and handmade chocolates all clamoring to delight the taste buds. My husbands favorite lunch is a home made Smoked Salmon Baguette, literally bursting with thick chunks of Smoked Salmon, No thin slivers in this place.
Whether you choose to eat indoors or out it really is worth the visit. This charming spot also offers a separate craft shop stocking local handcrafts and a delightful nursery. Just the place to pick up that gift for a special someone,or a souvenir of your trip, as well as a delightful miniature Old English Village which one can wander through for a gold coin donation. The glorious cakes on display in the tea room are prepared in the kitchen of the French Restaurant adjoining the tea rooms and I will write about Le Relais Bressau seperately. For the vintage car enthusiast though there is a display of some well preserved continental vehicles to keep the motoring enthusiast happy as well. |

Sounds like a good place to visit on the Sunshine Coast, obviously named after the classic Britcom Allo Allo. My Uncle used to live on the Sunshine Coast, just across the NSW state line. I haven't been there for 21 years, but really enjoyed my visit.
