Do inanimate objects hold energy?

By Sheila Kennedy-robinson of Sounds from Source

Do inanimate objects hold energy? I believe that they do, and as a practitioner who works with vibrational energy I am constantly aware of vibrations and energies in the areas around me.
Everything we touch we leave an energy imprint on, the glass we drank from, the chair we sat in, the clothes we wore.

Psychometry the 'reading' of an object such as a piece of jewellery or a personal possession of some kind may tell us much of the person who wore or owned it, as it has absorbed the vibrations and the memories of that person or persons.

Recently I spoke to a colleague who had attended a workshop with some fairly full on processes to 'release' negative thoughts and emotions from the participants, who were then instructed to change their seating positions when they came back into the room and sit in another part of the room than where they had been sitting before.

Now as I believe that the energy of the emotions which were released needed to go some where and the two obvious places are into the room itself, and the chairs on which people had been sitting, which then allows the next person to sit in the chair to assimilate or pick up those energies which were not theirs.

How often have you walked into a room to pick up the tension in the air which is palpable enough to literally cut it with a knife. It is the left over energetic imprint from people who have been arguing previously. Or in many instances the beautiful house listed for sale which the real estate agent has had trouble selling for years, and is because the walls if they could talk would tell of much sorrow and distress within those pristine walls, and this energy is what has put buyers off from purchasing it.

Many old buildings from the convict and slavery era’s have their own tales to tell, as do areas of land where there has been death and destruction and the energies and memories of those who have gone before still remain.

In the modern day, the building for lease from a bankrupt estate may seem like a good idea, it’s a great location, lots of passing traffic, just needs a coat of paint in our colours and a new sign out the front! Then the thriving business idea that you had may well turn sour, the energies from the previous tenant still abound, sales drop off, staff are unhappy and it may not be that long before you too follow your predecessor down the path to bankruptcy and ruin.

A young client of mine some years ago managed a series of bands and asked if I could create something for him to use when setting up venues for a particularly sensitive young performer who played both Violin and Guitar, His client he explained would say he felt as if the walls were bouncing when performing in a venue after a rock band had been there before him. Now not everyone will be as sensitive as this young man, however many people suffer from the energy stored in inanimate objects without ever being aware of it.
